Are you sitting at work right now wondering why you’re here? Feeling stuck?
Do you feel overly stressed, unfulfilled, or overwhelmed at your job or unhappy with your company’s performance? Are there too many problems or roadblocks and you just don’t have the answers?
Are you asking yourself “am I really the kind of leader I would want to follow?”
It’s not uncommon for women in business to feel this way. Even successful CEOs have their blocks and plateaus and are looking for ways to improve.
The sad thing is that too many of us are not satisfied with our careers, our work-life balance (which can be non-existent), our incomes or financial security, our leadership role, or our company’s financial situation or operations.
Too many of us feel helpless to change these things. But all you need is a roadmap – a way to identify problems and come up with a strategic plan that guides you towards the outcomes you want.
What surprises most people about our industry is that coaching really helps people and anything is possible with the right guidance.
What We Do
We Build Leaders by Helping Women Shine
At New Light Leadership, we focus on building women leaders and entrepreneurs. We also support organizations and men who want to learn how to better support their women leaders.
We are mentors, coaches, and experienced consulting professionals whose mission is to help women succeed in business and in life by transforming their staff, their organization and themselves.
Most importantly, we want to help you thrive. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean always having a lot of money. Many financial and career coaches focus exclusively on money. Often, financial success is just a by-product of pursuing a life that fulfills you, inspires you, motivates you and rewards you emotionally and spiritually.
When you cultivate the right mindset, it attracts the very things you want, like happiness, success, financial freedom, balance, and security.
We believe in something called transformational servant leadership. It’s a concept of serving rather than self-serving. A belief that success comes when you are generous with your time, your talents, your support, and encouragement. That you achieve peak performance when you focus on serving your clients, your organization, your relationships, and your community.
We believe in building safe environments that cultivate trust, authenticity, growth, generosity, and creativity. A place where you can be who you really are, where you can learn to value yourself and others by listening and following that inner voice.
We believe that leaders come in all forms. There will come a time when there will be no distinction between men and women leaders. There will only be leaders. We believe men can help us achieve equality in the workplace by choosing to support women in leadership for the betterment of themselves, their family, and their organizations.
We believe your work should be designed around the life you want to live, your vision, not someone else’s idea of “what’s right”.
We also believe that failure can lead to success. Failure is just another opportunity for growth. Those who succeed have all tasted failure. It is the way we learn to adapt and be flexible. The problem only comes when you fail to learn from past mistakes.
Am I The Right Candidate for Coaching?
Maybe you’re already functioning at a high level, focused on growth and advancing your career, but you’re searching for something more in your work and personal life. You want balance between the two.
You could be ready to start something new and need guidance on how to pursue your gifts, your strengths, your passions.
Or you could have a problem to solve. Do you need to shed a light on something that’s holding you back in business and in life? Not sure how to overcome it?
If any of this rings true to you, then you’re in the right place.
Through our visionary systems thinking, which includes assessments, mentor coaching, training, consulting, and mastermind sessions, you can focus your personal growth and development, improve your company’s financial situation or operations, or become a leader of leaders.
Whatever your dream, we want to help you achieve it, to coach you towards it, step by step.
About Lynn Matson
I really care for people, I’m a good listener, and I want to help women by sharing my life and work experience. I believe that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and to succeed in business, you need to know finance. Finance is the key to reaching the C-Suite level.
Lynn has an extensive background in business. She’s held many different positions over the years in Canada; from Finance to HR, IT to Sales, Operations, Budgets, as well as Systems and Process Improvement. She now works as a Consultant and Outsourced Controller for companies ranging from solopreneurs to 50 employees, and sales anywhere from $100K to $14M.
Lynn knows what it’s like to face adversity. She has experienced divorce, an absent father, and raised three teenagers as a single mother. She was in two car accidents that required extensive physical and mental recovery. She knows what it’s like to live in pain. Yet, she returned to university as an adult learner to obtain her B.A. in Leadership at Trinity Western University (TWU), along with a Certificate in Project Management. She is also a certified DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness) Consultant and Trainer.
As a Certified John Maxwell Coach, Speaker and Trainer, and Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team, she coaches women leaders and specializes in empowering women in business and in life. She wants to help her clients to rediscover their passions, their strengths, their potential, and purpose, and to “walk away” from the mindsets that no longer serve them.
She understands the challenges of being a professional woman, while balancing family and career. She firmly believes that every woman deserves to be everything they can be and to find a place where they can thrive, be authentic and be valued. She knows what good and poor leadership looks like and has a knack for unlocking the potential of true leaders.
With her experience in business, she wants to remove any blocks or fears around finances, profitability, or systems operations. She wants to smash the “impostor syndrome” that plagues so many women in the corporate world. She believes you are that good, you are capable, and you deserve to earn what you’re worth. It’s never too late to learn or to design the life you’ve always wanted.
If you’re looking to change careers, start a new business, move up the company ladder, increase your salary or need someone to assess your organizational strengths and develop strategies to improve team and financial performance, Lynn is a caring, empathetic, and encouraging mentor and coach who can help you get where you want to be.
